 Jalise: Are you ready?
Justine: Are you ready? OH Yea,
Justine: Stand by.

Justine: And that was unloaded starts racing.
Jalise: So we really like to do this drill when we have an upcoming competition, it helps when you have a partner to race directly against; it adds extra stress and really it makes the competition harder.
Justine: You want to make sure that you are hitting the center of the target and make every shot count, so let's go look at the targets
Justine: Ok, so we are at five yards for this drill, so the target is pretty close to where you’re shooting which makes this drill interesting. You really want to push down the gas pedal and go faster but you really have to make sure everything is in the center in order for this drill to count. As you can see, I am closer to the center than Jalise is.
Jalise: Well it doesn’t quite matter because I am inside the circle plus we got the exact same time.

Justine: Well, we are going to have to take another look at that.
Jalise: All right Justine, You won this one.
Justine: But you were close.

What I want to do is come off of the first target, bring the gun back to my workspace, which is actually part of my draw, get my two-hand grip, punch out to the far target. That way, I can make two accurate quick shots.

Jalise: We are going to break down our unloaded table start for you. Justine will be demo-ing; she is going to bring out her gun and her magazine. We are going to do this drill from surrender position so that means her wrists are above shoulders.

As you can see her gun and magazine are angled so that when she comes down that’s where her natural hands go to. So she is going to come down; she is looking at her gun when she does, she is going to pick up her magazine and the gun,

her finger is on the spine of the magazine, she is going to look and insert the magazine into the gun, then she is going to turn the gun over and rack it, now you can rack it from the front, from the back, whatever comes naturally to you.

Justine really likes racking from the front, she is going to bring her hands and the gun together as she presents out. She is going to form her grip, touch the trigger, align her sights and when she is ready she will break the shot.
Jalise: Now that we have shown you how to do unloaded table starts, we are going to go for round two.
Justine: Now pay attention to the fine details as we re- run this drill, for bragging rights.
Jalise: Ok, it only picked up one time again, one point six zero .
Justine: Ah man, its so close again.
Jalise: Lets go to the replay.
Justine: Looks like I am victorious again and I am closer to the down zero.
Jalise: I can’t be mad at that, it’s still really good, so get a buddy
Justine: Go to the Range
Jalise: And give this drill a shot.
