Pro Tip: Jalise and Justine Williams
The Walk Back Drill

Colt31-Walkback-1
Justine: Hey everyone, it’s the Williams sisters and today we are bringing you yet another competition partner drill...

Jalise: Now we have been training together our entire shooting careers and one of the things we like to do in our training sessions is add in a mini competition.

Justine: So today’s competition is what we like to call the walk back drillI. In the walk back drill you start at five yards with a set par time. Today we are going to be using a two-second par time.  At five yards, when the buzzer goes, you are going to draw and take one shot, everything in order for this drill to count has to be in the down zero.

Colt31-Walkback-2

If everyone succeeds at five yards, we’ll back up to ten yards, and then from ten yards to fifteen and fifteen to twenty and so on and so forth until someone drops one out of the down zero zone.

Colt31-Walkback-3
Justine: Are you ready? Stand by.

Justine: Awesome, we both made it in, let's go back to ten yards.

Colt31-Walkback-4
Justine: All right, are you ready? Stand by.

Colt31-Walkback-5

Fantastic, back to fifteen yards.

Colt31-Walkback-6

Justine: All right now we are at fifteen yards. Par time is still set at two seconds; are you ready?

Colt31-Walkback-7

Jalise: Ooh mine’s like barely in, still counts though.

Justine: Back to twenty.

Colt31-Walkback-6
Justine: Ok now we are at twenty yards. The target is definitely harder now, so we are going to have to bring the focus in a little bit; are you ready? Stand by.

Colt31-Walkback-9

Justine: Alright. This is twenty five, barely can see the target from here, so.. are you ready?

Colt31-Walkback-10

Justine: Oh, I think I missed. Ok, that’s a one, three, three and a one, six, two.

Jalise: I think I have the left edge.

Jalise: Well-well-well, looks like I have all my shots.

Justine: Mine’s not, I had one out, but that’s ok, still training, still fun, still good learning experience, so get a friend, go to the range and give this drill a shot.
